The Northern Territory Library logo is an image of a banyan tree, encompassed by a half circle dome. The name of the Library surrounds the tree, and is underlined with a line representing the earth.

The image of the banyan tree represents Darwin's Tree of Knowledge, which is Heritage listed and is located within the Darwin City Council’s Civic Centre complex.

Northern Territory Library uses the banyan tree to help us represent preserving our heritage and sharing information.

There are many photos of the tree of knowledge in the Territory Images collection.
